Re: Right to work etc
I would make my first port of call the citizens service centre. They will help you. Usually a CB check in UK. is done by the prospective employer, if you are looking to work in the sort of job where you need clearance, but no doubt someone here will know, but service centre should definitely know! Good luck!
Re: Right to work etc
I agree with darrow, go to your nearest citizens service centre & they will let you know what you need to do!

Re: Right to work etc
The nearest one for you is at the General Post Office near the General Hospital! As you come down the hill into Paphos you will pass through the traffic lights at the Mesogi/Trimithousa junction (the Acropolis Restaurant will be on your left), carry on until the next roundabout & take the first (left) exit. Follow the road down passing Paphos Home Market on your right, the Post Office is about 500 yards on your right after this. The CAC is inside on your right!

Re: Right to work etc
I had to go to the main police station in Limassol as a CRB check was needed for the company I worked for during my last 7yrs there.
A case of filling in a form, providing my passport which they took a copy of and paying a fee (then, I think it was around €18 EUR) and the certificate was posted to me a few weeks later. I also had to have been resident in Cyprus for a minimum of 6 months, if I recall correctly.
I just found the link to it, here: http://www.police.gov.cy/police/police. ... enDocument
It's now €20 and contains the following info:

Re: Right to work etc
My son just had to do this for his employer, he had to go to Paphos Police station as stated by Photolady for the police check. If you are an EU citizen, you have an automatic right to work here. Your MEU1 (yellow slip) should be provided for this.

Yes your yellow slip and passport will show right to work and the police station behin the fire station in Paphos is the place for criminal records checks. They are open 8am to 12 noon and again take your passport, yellow slip and also €10. Mine took about 3weeks to come back from Nicosia but you can pay extra for a slightly faster turnaround.
