This will be our 7th year of visiting an old peoples home on Christmas day & giving a live music performance. The idea has caught on & we had 9 requests this year. In the past we only performed once but decided to go for 3. Mrs Norv is not happy but hopefully my gift may placate her

Great example. I think our Churches of all faiths, but especially Christian, should open their doors and let people sleep inside over the cold nights....

Unfortunately UK churches have to be kept under lock and key these days because of theft. Well, the catholic ones did, anyway.

Basically, I don't think there should be such valuable items in churches worth stealing. I'm sure Jesus wouldn't be happy to see all the valuables they have, whilst people are homeless and hungry outside.

Not often I agree with Jimgward, but on this occasion I do.

The fact is that, if Jesus saw a church, he would wonder what it was. They didn't have them in his day.

They had Temples I understand, I think he might just know what a church was, i.e. a place of worship. That said, they are still brimming with gold, jewels and silver etc.

I think if Jesus reappeared then Christianity would have a lot of explaining to do. I am sure the same is true of all faiths, but I can't comment on other faiths because I don't know enough about them.
