It’s a good example of not how to do it. The second controller even stated that the speedbird didn’t declare an emergency despite a mayday being declared although subsequently downgraded. The crew repeatedly told the controller to standby, and the controller repeatedly asked the crew questions. A lot of unnecessary talk by the atco. Plus 5400lbs of fuel on a Jumbo!...
