A meeting with the Mayor of Paphos, Phaedon Phaedon, took place Tuesday at the Municipal Palace, the Vrythokia Kelpetri Association of Winter Swimmers, consisting of President Matheos Ierokipiotis, Vice President Giorgoula Tsindidou and members Stelios Hadjicharalambous and Giorgos Ilias.
The meeting was attended by Nikos Similidis, representative of the Beach Committee of the Municipality of Pafos and the Deputy Inspector of Beach Pambos Charalambous.
The swimmers, through their president, Matthew Ierokipiotis, gave the Mayor a memorandum and set out a series of problems concerning both the Municipal Baths and the beaches of SODAP and Faros.
In the demands of winter swimmers, there are issues that have to do with cleanliness, where serious problems are identified, with the maintenance of outdoor spaces, by manning the beaches with lifeguards, from sunrise to sunset, to give space for housing the club and to find a way to increase the parking space.
There was a positive approach from the Mayor of Pafos in an excellent climate and the members of the association left with complete satisfaction, having received answers, for all the problems that concern them.
