We returned to the UK on 4 Feb this year. We did not receive our winter fuel allowance that winter but have received it now.You do not need to reclaim,if like us you were receiving it prior to it being stopped for Cyprus residents. I believe that you just need to have been resident from September to receive it this winter.

Criteria for 2017/2018 Winter Fuel Allowance Payment:

You were born on or before 5 August 1953 (to be eligible for the financial year April 2017 to March 2018 – the eligibility birth date changes every financial year). you lived in the UK throughout the qualifying week (for the financial year 2017–2018, this is 18–24 September 2017).
