Paphos Airport Help
Does anyone have experience of taking liquids/ creams over the 100 ml limit through Paphos Airport please. Are they very strict.
Nothing sinister. I want to take home some small jars of raw honey from Stavros in Chloraka but don't want to risk them being confiscated. I am only taking hand luggage.
Thanks, Pat

You've got no chance, they took half a bottle of water off me only this month
Re: Paphos Airport Help

Maggie, I had thought of that but don't know where to buy them cheaply here. Pat

I would try Jumbo. However, I think it might still raise eyebrows. If a 500ml jar is unacceptable because it's contents could be dangerous, wouldn't 5 100ml jars be equally dangerous?

I thought 100ml was the max you could take per person in hand luggage?

Dominic, I think the same. The rules seem silly.
WHL I have read your link and it appears that you can take a maximum of 1 litre of liquid. As I said above seems silly.
Maggie I hope Flossie can help as I am not a shopper and haven't been to the mall yet, and not likely too unless Flossie says they can be found there!.

1 litre is the max but must be in 100ml bottles, I believe that is the rule just now.
I started off with nothing and have most of it left !

Re: Paphos Airport Help
There are notices at U.K. airports advising that honey is not allowed to be brought into the U.K. and yet it is openly sold in Cyprus airports as gifts!

Re: Paphos Airport Help
You can definitely take 10 x 100 ml bottles my wife often has a number coming out of Gatwick and returning via Paphos.
Re: Paphos Airport Help
If you have hold baggage you could put your honey in sealed plastic bags in your case.

Flight bags only Kili. I have just been to Stavros Honey shop and just bought some to leave here sadly. Given up on taking some home. Nice people and you can taste the different flavours before you buy. Thanks for your replies, Pat

From the UK Government Website:
What products you can bring into the UK depends on where you are travelling from, and not where the products were produced or packaged.
If you’re travelling from a country within the EU, you can bring any fresh foodstuffs - fruit, vegetables, meat, dairy or other animal products (eg fish, eggs and honey) - into the UK.
When travelling from outside the EU, there are strict rules about bringing food products, plants and plant products back into the UK for your own personal consumption or use. This guide gives further details about the restrictions on other food products being imported for personal use, in luggage or by post or courier, and explains exactly which foodstuffs are exempt from the restrictions. It also gives additional details about some European (non-EU) countries and the restrictions that apply to them.

Sorry Band.... I just saw you had posted above as I was highlighting in Bold etc....
Given the different "findings" on various websites, I would say it's not worth taking the risk if you're only taking hand luggage.
