Shutter Maintenance

Post by robf »

Hi

Has anyone got recommendations for shutter maintenance persons that would cover the Polis area. We have some shutters whose mechanism isn't working properly and would like to get fixed.

Thanks
Robert

Robert- have you thought about a bit of TLC, using a can of WD40 and a screwdriver to remove the side plates concealing the locking mechanisms, in order to lubricate them?

You never know, a couple of hours work might just do the trick, for the cost of a small can of WD40 from your local DIY store...

Thanks for that Al. Unfortunately I have :(, it is not the locking mechanism, but the tilting mechanism that is causing problems, it feels like the gears have been stripped in some cases. There does not appear to be an easy way in.
