Gerald 'Investor' Morse.

Post by Dadio »

For the past few years I’ve been pursuing the above for recovery of monies outstanding through both the the English and Cypriot legal system. Investor' Morse, well known through his radio programmes, died earlier this year.

Without going into details, last week I received an interim statement (final statement due Feb next year) via the solicitor winding up his affairs stating that he had assets of £14K with liabilities of over £1 million. Obviously no creditors will receive any payment.

Why am I writing now? To remind anyone thinking of investing with an advisor to double and triple check their qualifications and with whom they are registered and to recommend that any individual selected is supported by a large organization that can,if necessary, back up claims against any individual miscreant.

This is a sad story indeed Dadio.
One aspect along with checking out the individual is never to write a cheque to an individual for the investment purposes, but rather to the custodian/investment platform/ fund house.
Always insist on seeing a recommendation report regarding who your money is going to be invested, if they refuse then walk away.
Ask to receive proper company documents / summary valuations rather than a paragraph emailed by the holder of your cash.
