The law needs enforcement.......they needs to place adverts on the TV what the consequences of driving without seatbelts/using a mobile phone/speeding in urban areas/driving through red lights..........and riding a motorbike/moped without appropriate headgear.

Taking a quick look at the conclusion made from 13 of 41 people being under 25: 32% of road deaths occurred in under 25s., therefor 68% occurred in people 25 or over. From the last census 31% of the population are under 25, the road deaths therefor simply reflect the population demographics of the island. However when you compare the mortality rate of 4.9 per 100000 with the UK (2.7 / 100000) Cyprus roads are definitely more dangerous.
