Kamares/Kili. Just a few rumbles of distant thunder about 9am, then gentle rain where I am.
We still need plenty more rain, the garden needs it!

Re: RAIN-- at last
Got back to Polemi after a quick round trip to Larnaca at about 15:45. Mum said it threw it down starting at around 14:00 - by the look of the pool level i'd say about half an inch added today.
Lincoln - last year around this time I turned off the auto top up valve on our pool, and without the cover on, the change in water level each day was significant. Cover back on and it reduced by 99%. I think the main loss at this time of year is evaporation from the breeze - we are quite exposed here.

Re: RAIN-- at last
We put our cover on 24th September to.keep the temperature at around 29/30c and haven't had to top the pool up since. With that sort of temperature and early morning recently here in Coral Bay at 19c evaporation would have made a huge water lose. Even with yesterday wonderful rain the pool is still 28c and once to sun gets on the cover it will soon gain a degree or two. My wife loves the nice warm temp we only remove the cover to swim and when finished put it back on. Last year I was using the pool up to the 20th November at 27c so a solar cover is worth every cent ours is in its seventh year and still in good condition. Always cover it when its rolled up with white sheets to stop the sun ruining it.
