Tala Council recently posting a warning about what appears to be burglars checking out houses to break into by using a drone. One house was buzzed by a drone at window level and was broken into the following day. Late yesterday afternoon we spotted a drone hovering above our house near the amphitheatre. Once it saw we were watching it, it scooted off at speed. I chased it by car but, by the time I got to the place it landed (at the top of Stephanie Hill), drone and operator were gone.
I am also 95% certain that I saw someone flying a drone from the balcony of what I believe to an empty house above the amphitheatre, earlier the same day. I didn't see the drone but saw a guy with a remote control unit in his hands.
Please be vigilant and watch out for drones flying anywhere in the Paphos area. If you see one flying over your house, or your neighbours', don't hesitate to call the police.
