Messy residents letting Nicosia down (PICTURES)

Cypriots are generally known to be very house-proud but piles of broken or unwanted household items among other waste often plague empty fields, even within residential areas....

I know this article is about Nicosia but I think we can all agree that Paphos residents are equally culpable.

My first time in Cyprus was around 10 years ago, when there was a terrible rainstorm in October, that washed a car down a ravine, because of backed-up waste blocking the ravine.... two people were killed and a body found down at Kissonerga.

At the time, it was stated that tipping would now be banned, especially for builders..... never happened....
