Next week in Kouklia , there has been some others this month in other villages , has any one been to one ?
Cinema screenings will take place in various small communities of Pafos, reviving an old tradition of touring cinemas, creating thus a network of open air cinemas!
A Good Year USA 2006, 118’
Kouklia 22/8 KOUKLIA SQUARE 20:30
Based on Peter Mayle’s novel, the film tells the story of a stockbroker travelling to Southern France to sell his vineyard, which he inherited from his uncle. Soon, his arrogant attitude towards the life style of the province changes entirely, thanks to childhood memories but also a beautiful French woman he meets. He will commit to the cultivation of the vineyard, facing all kinds of difficulties… A bittersweet film and a “bright” production on wine, travelling, well being but also the difficulties of a new beginning.
Screenplay: Marc Klein
Directed by Ridley Scott
Cast: Russell Crowe, Abbie Cornish, Marion Cotillard, Freddie Highmore, Albert Finney, Rafe Spall, Archie Panjabi, Richard Coyle, Ben Righton, Patrick Kennedy and others.

Re: Free open air movie
A lot of us opted for 3D tv in the past year .As there are not a lot of 3D movies I would choose to watch I decided to go for projection , so in the summer months we can have it outside and the rest of the year we can have movies on a proper big screen . My next screening is this Saturday , Dwane Johnson in San Andreas . The grand kids love it , when can we go to grand dads to see a big movie ?

I love the quaint mistranslations, like 'Intouchables' when they really meant 'Untouchables', LOL!
