Fig Festival Pygros

Post by JuraHound »

Have been informed that there is a fig festival at Pygros on 15th and 16th of this month. Does anyone know what time it starts, as I have searched everywhere and can not find details. Many Thanks in advance.

Just to say that 'Chaliki' is a type of cheese, made in that area...

Hell of a drive, though... Coast road from Polis to Pomos is fine, with very nice coastal scenery. But then the old coast road from just after Pomos is blocked by the TC Kokkina green line enclave.

To work your way around this area, in order to get back to the GC coastal road and reach Kato Pyrgos, involves a long climb up into the Troodos foothills then a drop down the other side, all on twisty forest tracks!

Forewarned is forearmed. There might be a better route to K.Pyrgos rather than via Polis and Pomos, I wonder?

Cheers, and enjoy the festival! - AL :)
