Cleaning White Plastic Sun Loungers
Our complex has some white plastic sun loungers, but I use the colour white loosely as they have years of ground in dirt making them nearer to grey! As we will be here for quite a long visit we thought that we would try to clean them up a bit, Lots of advice on t'internet, but it is too hot to be experimenting with all the different suggestions! Can anyone can recommend a tried and proven way of doing it? We are assuming that lots of elbow grease will be required, so really we just need to know what to use.
Many thanks
Dave

Re: Cleaning White Plastic Sun Loungers
When I had some white plastic garden furniture, I used to wash them with water that had some bleach in it. It used to make them look pretty good without much effort. I think the bleach kept working after I had rinsed it off - you know how bleach clings on like mad. It's not going to get any ingrained dirt out, but it seemed to work pretty well. I used the same trick on the uPVC windowsills as well.

Elbow grease in this heat?
Why not chuck them in the pool and let the chlorine do the work for you.

I think that has a tendency to turn the pool green though, panoscouse

I would put a sheet over the lounger and just lay on that. It wouldn't get so hot then, either.

When we had this problem, I used a power washer, with the nozzel set on wide, worked a treat, just blasted the grime off.

Some interesting suggestions so far! I am tempted by the suggestion to just throw them in the pool but think I might get a few complaints from others in the complex who seem content to lie on increasingly filthy sunloungers! Sadly, I think they are beyond washing with bleach, and my jet wash is in Yorkshire, which is a shame as I think that might work. Road Warrior - you say the Magic Erasers are available in the East. Where exactly do you mean? Now that you have mentioned them, I may be able to find what you are referring to in Paphos though.
Any other suggestions will be welcomed.

If that white plastic garden furniture has taken a green mouldy tinge to it, my daughter swears by Milton, a solution used for sterilizing baby bottles. Also works well on stone slab patios, etc, apparently...

I sometimes wonder... I tend to sit outside the Supermarket near the entrance and she comes to find me when she is done.

Great idea about the Brillo pads. I will give it a try. The Milton sounds promising too but with half a dozen loungers I think I would need to buy it by the barrel
