Dermatologist at the General Hospital
Looking for some advice/info, please. If I need to see a dermatologist at the General, do I need to go through one of the GP's and get a referral from them, or, once I book in at the desk, can I get an appointment directly with the dermatology dept.? Many thanks.

Just to reception and ask to see the dermatologist. Simple as that.
I dont think he is there every day.

I thought he was there every day. He has an office / surgery near the GP's 'hall'.

Re: Dermatologist at the General Hospital
Just thought I'd post an update following everyone's kind and helpful advice.
I arrived at the general hospital this morning at around 09:30 to see the dermatologist. After checking in at the front desk I went straight to the dermatology dept which is to the left, as has been mentioned, into the GP's hall and then into the left corner, there is a sign. I waited while one patient before me went in. Upon my turn, I was greeted by a very pleasant doctor who assessed and removed a small carcinoma in less than ten minutes.
He wrote a prescription for some cream and told me to go back and see him in three weeks for a follow up check.
He is there from Monday to Friday and registration was only 6 euros.
I left the hospital about 45 minutes after arriving. A fantastic service!
If anybody has any need for a dermatologist, the system at the general was faultless. Thanks everyone for your advice.

Actually the dermatologist seems to be one of the less busy doctors
