She is 3-4 years old and a rescue (that why the name is Lucky) and from the size, one can see she is a girl... 
Bograt, as I lived many years in Argaka near the sea, where many times very dry wind was coming from inland a similar air cooler was working excellent. But must say I had a so called "Mister" which works different as it is really blowing wet air like fog at you. Very different is this new air-con I got now the first day. The air blowing at you is only much cooler than the environment not feeling wet. Of course evaporation works best with low humidity, but it will do also the job just not so efficient. In case the humidity is really high one can set the unit on fan only which still blows a max. of 8000 m3 !!!! air at you depending the setting (1,2,3) So if you live on the coast of Paphos to Peyia and the wind comes from the mountains it will be a dry windBograt wrote: ↑Wed Jun 28, 2017 12:40 pm Max, you say the wondrous machine increases the humidity. After using the unit in my place for some days I will do an update.Right now 2.45 pm outdoor is 31.8 C, 34% RH, while with the unit running since 1 hour on the other side of the house it is 25 C where my pics show the unit.Thank you for the reply. What an impressive difference you have recorded, and it is interesting to hear that you can run the unit on fan only if needed. This could make the difference for me between staying in Cyprus throughout the summer, instead of going back to the UK when the weather gets really lively. Well, I must say Lucky is already so happy about the cooler temperatures and she knows exactly just after on day which is the coolest place in front of the "monster"...
normally she used to lay on the blue mat near the steps...
