Good morning
We had our solar panels installed by Green Air a couple of years ago. We're very happy with them.
We recently had to change our router to a newer model. Since then the phone app that monitors the inverter operation doesn't work because the inverter is looking for the old router. We have reported this to Green Air who have received a lot of calls, presumably about the same thing, but they can't deal with it until next week or the week after.
Has anyone else experienced this problem? If so, how was it resolved?
Solar panels phone app not working due to change of router
Re: Solar panels phone app not working due to change of router
One thing you could try doing is changing the name and password of your new wifi network to match the old one. The inverter is not looking for a router. It is looking for a wifi network. It doesn't care about the router.
You may even be able to set up two wifi networks on the one router. If that is the case, the second one could be the old router network. That way you wouldn't have to change all your other devices.
