After this night, 32c indoor temperature...

Daytime high temperatures now is normal as we have summer, however after last night my indoor temperatures in unconditioned rooms reached 32c this morning 5.30. which is much too high for me. At least humidity is low but it does not help really that I live high up Paphos.

So after summer I will invest in another air-con unit in my kitchen area as all walls and items like fridges are also too hot. My solar system produces more kWh every day than my consumption is, so I can run it for no extra money....

It was really much more comfortable yesterday when I drove down to Timi beach to have my Saturday fish lunch right on the sea front and the temperature was only 34c instead of 41c at my place up the hills. Even the higher humidity did not bother me.

I was surprised how many people had the same idea and enjoyed their fish lunch there, but then it was a special day for Cypriots....

Shouldn´t the temperature be the lower the higher you are? At least that was my thinking when I bought a plot up the hills.

In theory correct, however we are in Cyprus and nearly every valley or area has different conditions. Sometimes I have wind, while the windmills at the Kouklia wind farm which I can see from my place don't turn and this is only 15 km away from me.

My place is the same sea level than Polemi, however completely different as I have never fog which happens at Polemi many times.

When the wind in the night comes from the direction of Nicosia and Troodos mountains, it is very dry and warm in spring, summer and autumn.
I compare it with the situation in South Bavaria, where I lived in the past, when the warm "Foehn" wind arrives over the Alps from South to North.
