I have been putting my new drone through its paces, and experimenting with filters to cope with the blazing sun. It occurred to me that the old mine at Limni (near the pier!) would be a great place to fly, and so it was. The filter worked brilliantly and you can really see the fantastic colours of the mine area. I also indulged in a spot of low-level flying, made possible because of the partially-filled crater.
Limni used to be a Copper Mine, and the pier that now stands on the coast was where the ore would be loaded onto ships. A railway line used to connect the two, and you can still find the tracks - now in the sea - if you explore the waters between Polis and the pier.
