Today I realized that my nearly tame Agama Stellio is changing color to suit it's environment (different crystals on my patio). It is her favorite place next to my breakfast table and the dog as there are more flies at the moment. So having a cuppa in 1 m distance I got the chance for plenty of pics of her (yes, she is a girl)

All lizards can change colour to some extent, obviously less so and slower than a chameleon. With the small ones, they are lighter in sunlight than in the shade, presumably to reflect heat, as they are cold-blooded.

The reason to publish this topic was that I just recognized that this Agama one can see on my pics changed color within seconds, which I did not know until now. As I have also several Chameleons in my garden and watching their behaviour since years I realized that they change their color slowly. So I believe what I see and not what is published in studies or the Internet.
Just as a example from this pic, when I moved it on a stick to an different environment it took nearly 30 seconds until color was fully changed...

With regards to your question about blogs, you already know my views. You also have to remember that the blogs get viewed more times than the forum post about them does. The top blog, "A Last Look Around Old Old Paphos" has been viewed over 3000 times. Yet it's forum post has less than 800 views.
This will also explain why I am about to publish "Another Last Look Around Old Old Paphos". Though I may try and think of a better title.
