Crown Resorts Horizon Is Being Reborn

We often get asked about the abandoned Crown Resorts Horizon in Coral Bay. Recently the questions centred around a fixtures and fittings sale. Well it turns out that this was a prelude to a full renovation. The resort is due to re-open in May 2024, and will be rebranded as the Cali Resort and Spa. Investment at last. Hopefully the Thalassa and Ascos will be next and they will start the pedestrianisation of the strip too. That then just leaves the Marina

Good to see, I was told by our neioughbor who works in the Coral Beach hotel that there sister hotel the Thalassa will also re open next summer.

That's good news as both the Thalassa and the Crown Resort hotels were looking almost derelict! But, a few hotels which don't do AI would be good for the local economy! As tourists who are on All Inclusive tend to hardly go out....
