Continuing Road works on Ellados Ave.

Post by Kili01 »

This morning the new road way was open to 2 way traffic from the traffic lights near Lidl down as far as just after Sof Top furniture. Beyond that the red cones are there in force as you weave your way down towards the half finished new roundabout near Papantoniou’s.
I was hoping to visit the supermarket but access to that has been dug up so it was unusable.

However you can still get there if you approach from the other side- the back. To get there from Lidl take the road past their car park and drive to Partymania. Turn sharp left, at the next crossroads turn right. Follow new road past part of the new park, continue on and Papa’s store will be on your right! Plenty of parking in 2 car parks as you get there.

Hope this helps someone!

Yes it does help Dee. I went down the newly opened road this morning, but I must admit I did not look at Paps entrance.. I went that way so that I could get petrol in Gasoline alley

It's getting difficult to film. Well, if I film it, I need to process it and publish it all in the same day. Otherwise it is out of date.

Dominic,
I can imagine that you may be having problems filming near some of these roadworks! Yesterday just beyond Sof Top,the lower part of Ellados, down to the new roundabout (under construction) below Paps, was a nightmare of cones for drivers to weave their way through it all....

Like you, I've now found new routes around Paphos. The one I found from the traffic lights by Kings Hotel on T.oT.K Rd to get-me up to Mesa Chorio, last week to meet friends, would be hard to describe, yet I got there in 20mins. This at lunch time! I didn't run red lights or go off road...
