Every year in Autumn some of these huge spiders want to come indoors. This one just had bad luck and drowned in the pool before entering the house.

I've nearly walked into a few of them over the last few days while I have been looking for interesting places to explore. I have been beating my way through dense vegetation with a stick, only to be confronted by one of these looking back at me, with a web that spans the narrow throughfare I am walking down.

We had a few in our house in Drousea.
My husband used to throw a handful of tissues over them and throw tissues plus spider through the window. We retrieved said tissues once the spider had exited, not for re-use obviously
