The government of Cyprus has initiated the process for the withdrawal of citizenship from ten persons who acquired it through the Golden Passport Program, also known as the Citizenship by Investment scheme (CIP).
The withdrawal of citizenship from three investors as well as seven of their dependents comes following the investigation conducted by the Interior Ministry, according to the Deputy Government Spokeswomen, Niovi Parissinou, SchengenVisaInfo.com reports.
The identity of persons whose citizenship has been revoked has not been revealed yet.
