The Paphos Labyrinth

Post by Dominic »

Today we our taking our lives in our hands, and driving straight through the centre of Paphos. Where will we end up? Who knows, with all the roadworks. But we are aiming for the Mall. Come with us, as we explore strange new routes past newly created parks. We also zoom past old friends, as we are diverted through the Old Town.

And I thought we could all do with a bit of cheering up so I have added a suitably thumping soundtrack to accompany our adventure.

I know your post is called Paphos Labyrinth and indeed it shows all the work which is left to be done until "Polis Road" is finished. However if one wants to get faster down to the Mall coming from the North into town, if you use the new Lidl roundabout and drive straight down, ca 1,4 km to the next crossroad near Moutoullas Time Out Kiosk and then left, you will be there in half of the time...

Anyhow thanks for the nice video trip, which shows the areas you should avoid to go (drive)

The purpose of the film was to show what was happening in Central Paphos, rather than to get to the Mall. If I wanted the quickest route to the Mall I would go throught Moutallos and down the cliff by the new restaurant, then cut across that way. That way you would miss all the traffic funnelling through Old Town.

I just cut through the coach park in the market car park.

I was well aware what the purpose of the film was, however I wanted to mention an alternative route as there are usually moaners on here how terrible everything is. My way to Lidl TOTK was always the route you mentioned above through Moutallos etc....

It's an odd little area down there. I think poor access has prevented it from being developed further.
