What did you want to do?
I always wanted to work in a bank or be a Policeman.
I had a few menial jobs between ages of 16 and 21 and
then I joined the Fire Service and had 30 very happy years.
It's amazing how it changes as you grow up.

I originally wanted to be a vet. I couldn't be arse to study hard enough to get the required grades though, and ended up doing a degree in Biochemistry instead. I had always been interested in computers though, so when I graduated I moved into I.T full time. It was more fun back then though. These days, there is no craft in it. If something breaks, it gets replaced rather than repaired. So all the I.T person is doing is shifting boxes.

Always wanted to be a professional footballer, I got signed up with a first division club academy, but while go karting , someone slammed into the back of me, jolting my back, after that, my back kept going, and so no professional contract, I went into buying and selling, and build up a good business which I still work at.

When I left school I was 15 and went strait into the printing trade starting on a single colour press.
I then spent the next 40 years in the same trade finishing up running a four colour press.
And I have done a lot of things in that trade from sales to delivery and working with company owners right up to directors and also dealing with top directors from ICI and others alike.

That sounds fishy to me

It's not the size of the dog in the fight, it's the size of the fight in the dog.
