Watering "potted" plants.

Post by Chaddy »

My better half and i are in a very heated dispute on how often in this weather should our potted plants be watered.I say,and it my allocated duty to carry out this task is to water them every 4/5 days.My wife says, and she usually wins a dispute says every 2 days.I dont think this difference of opinion will get as far as the divorce courts but any advice on the matter would be appreciated.

Surely it depends on the type of plant?

Depends on:
- size of pot
– size of plant
– species of plant
– exposure to sun
– type of soil in the pot
– drainage within pot
– et cetera
– et cetera
– et cetera!

How long is a piece of string? I know a good divorce lawyer, if necessary.

You could always expel your precious urine on them when you get home from the pub.

Every 2 days, for us, for outside pot plants during the summer, whatever the plant or pot size. Seems to work fine.
