Can anyone recommend, from personal experience, a garden shredder that can deal with Date Palm fronds?
I have read countless reviews on Amazon and watched many YouTube clips and it seems that with the majority you end up with a chewed stick as opposed to chippings.
I will probably end up hiring a skip as I have done for the past 15 years.

It should work with a strong shredder if you led the leaves dry out in the sun for a month or two...

No garden shredder will ever cut them due to the effects of centrifugal force.
However if as Max suggested and you leave them to dry out they can be cut small with the aid of a chop saw or even a hedge trimmer (but make sure eye protection is worn).
Then they make a very good mulch.

Thanks for the advice. I found this one via Youtube which copes with green palm fronds but way out of my price range.

I will stick with using a skip each year.
