A 360 Drive Through Mandria Music Festival

Post by Dominic »

This is a 360 film. This means you can rotate the camera around as the film progresses. So don't moan if you are looking at a boring wall or something. Rotate the camera! Full instructions below.

Here's a drive we did around Mandria last sunday. We went there for the fish and chips as a Birthday Treat, and because I wanted to see how the new Square looked. We happened to turn up on its Official Opening Day, and they were having a Music Festival on it.

We start at the beach then drive through the centre of the village before finishing at the local Supermarket, which is really good.

To enjoy 360 films you must watch them at a high a resolution as possible. Ramp the resolution up to 5K if you can. If it looks excessively blocky it is because your resolution is set too low.

Once you are viewing the film, you can move the camera about to look at whatever you like. On a tablet, or phone, just swipe in the way you want to go. On an iPad, click the "Open App" button to view in the dedicated App.

On a computer, use the mouse or the W,A,S and D keys to point the camera. If you pause the film, you can still move the camera about.

And if you don't like 360 films then relax. Our next one will be the more traditional type!

Great video, but you should have stopped at the music festival and joined hundreds of people for a fun 9 hours of live music.

Great bands such as The Sea Gypsies, The Elderly Brothers, and Too Hot For Red, just to mention 3. Good times, and well done Mandria.
