Long stay parking at Larnaca airport

I would be grateful for recommendations for long stay parking at Larnaca airport(seven days) and feedback as to whether paying extra for 'covered parking' in June is really worth it.

The Parking at Larnaca airport is excellent and good value...going away next week 8 days 29e...I never use the surrounding parking firms, who wants to wait to be picked up and driven to the get your car? I personally wouldn't bother with the covered parking because the canopy's dont cover the car completely and the sun still gets the car, I normally park up a couple of hundred yards away from the terminal, that way not many cars near by so avoiding any luggage trolleys scratching your car.
just pay on line, they have ANPR cameras so just turn up.

We too used Larnaca Airports own long stay parking about a year ago. Quite near the airport buildings and no problems at all.
I don't know where their covered area is.. As to whether your car will be OK in the Sun, think whether it is under cover at your home, and go with that..

We always used the drop off and collect services in the last few years of our time in Cyprus. Used to get the Daily Deals offers which works out cheaper than those which use the bus transfer to and from the airport.

After a few times using the drop off and collect deals vouchers we were given the same deal to be booked by phoning or email.

Excellent service - always there at Departures to take our car from us then phoned us just after we landed on return to tell us he was waiting for us outside and where he was.

I too use the long term parking at the airport, very reasonably priced and a minutes walk from the terminal. I book and pay online, very easy and no messing!

The airport's own car park just across from the terminal proved to be the cheapest and most convenient. It has simple online booking and will recognise your car by number plate recognition.

It is unusual to find airport parking cheaper than the off-site local operators. You certainly won't at Heathrow, Gatwick or Luton in my experience.

I just checked the site we used to book with and the price is still the same as when we used it for our trips back to UK since we found it in November 2013.

€26 for 7 days covered parking - your car is collected from you at Larnaca airport Departures and returned back to you at the Departure drop off area.
For each additional day it's €2 per day - payable direct upon collection.
The price stated is dependent upon purchasing a voucher in advance.

Regarding 'Meet and Greet' type parking.... After reading a few editorials in UK newspapers I always wonder where actually your car is kept whilst you are away.. This I think is why I prefer to have the key of my car at all times..

Agreed, Trev. I've read stories about peeps who have come back from hols to find 300 miles added to their odometer while they were away and their car was 'parked'

I've just paid €19.76 for 5 days Larnaca airport's own long stay uncovered. I concur it's so easy and just a short stroll to the terminal building. Larnaca also provide a covered parking option but obviously it's more expensive.

Something in the paper t'other day .... a few folks had got back from holiday and had fixed penalty fines in the post from the council as they had left their car in the council short stay park .......... actually they'd used a 'meet n greet' service!
