When Cyprus previously had speed camaras some while ago, I seem to remember that they were installed at what was the traffic lights near Viofoss light store. I seem to remember that once a few speeding tickets had been received, peoples behavior noticeably improved.
No one jumped the lights, and everyone stopped behind the white line, instead of creeping forwards.. Because of this it felt much safer for everyone.
Hope this will happen again
