Episkopi Heights

Post by Dominic »

The other day we were photographing blossom, and ended up in Episkopi. A chance road diversion led us to a lovely viewpoint above the village, where we spent a few minutes enjoying the scenery and admiring an old workhorse that was resting nearby...

Looks like the old school bus our teachers, back in the 60's used to self drive our sports teams etc on, except it was blue then.

Loved loved loved this blog. Thank you Dominic.

Me, and 'Him Indoors' did a very similar run . . . around 2007/8 and ended up in Nata. It certainly wasn't planned. We just used to follow our noses and they were the best days ever. X

The old route for the bus was perhaps if you follow the road/track where the bus stands now, passing the cemetery and then downhill towards the abandoned village of Moro Nero, then the old church and descending down to the river bed where the old bus station can be seen....
Moro Nero had perhaps the same amount of inhabitants as Episkopi once...

I considered that as a possible route, but ti wouldn't explain the sign you have further down the valley, by the old water mill.

Whatever route they used, it must have been lovely!
