Well, I wonder where this 'aesthetic upgrade' is going to feature? As many will know, I sometimes take a different view of these 'improvements'. Some are good and in keeping, but others seem to do more to remove than enhance what character Paphos town has.
Are these smart lighting pylons going to improve the look of the place? Are they smart because they rely on solar power? Time will tell.
On a different note, some smart lighting could be used to advantage on ToTK Rd. I think that the unlit pedestrian road crossings, specially in the poorly lit pedestrian area near the Mall should be lit up. I noticed that pedestrians using these crossings emerge suddenly from the growing shrubbery of the central reservaion, and when dressed in black, are a danger to thenselves, as drivers may not see them until the last minute.
