Vit D blood test

Has anyone had a Vit D blood test carried out privately? If so, would appreciate knowing the laboratory and the cost.

Thanks Sadie, I am going to ask him again when I next see him, but up until now he's not been particularly helpful with regard to discussions about Vit D levels. He's much more interested in upping my calcium levels. However, I had my calcium and magnesium checked this past week by my GP - all high normal which is good - but she's not allowed to check my Vit D levels. Apparently the rules have changed and only a rheumy can arrange this.
