Emergency goalkeeper loan

Post by J B »

I see Bursik from my City has joined @Dominic's City on an emergency loan.

It will be his fourth club of the season after playing for Rovers on loan, being recalled by City as we were short of goalies, then loaned out to Posh (who beat City to clinch promotion) and now he's gone to City.

Funny old game Saint!!!

Is the loan rule different for goalkeepers, or is there different rules in England.

In the 2014/15 season we re-signed Michael Tidser from Rotherham during the January window, however, he had to sit out the entire second half of the season because he'd already played for Rotherham, gone to Ross County on loan, then to Oldham on loan and had played for three different clubs in a single season which is the maximum.
A stupid move on our behalf as someone didn't check the rules and we paid a player six months wages for nothing.

As you say, it's a funny old game
