I think these rules will mean a lot of venues that have outdoor space will not be allowed to use them..
"For the purposes of this Protocol 'outdoor space' means any space which is not internal or enclosed and has sufficient natural oxygenation. Adequate natural oxygenation exists in any area which:

is not covered by a roof, permanent or temporary, and
which is covered by a roof, has permanently open the three (3) sides."

I know one local venue that are not bothering at all.. Just not worth it ..

I can think of a few that will qualify in terms of outdoor space, in Coral Bay area and about 3 or more in Paphos. But agree that perhaps they are going a bit over the top with this new and lengthy list. I wonder why they couldn't have used the same hygiene protocols as they have used previously in this situation?
The restaurants that we have used previously when outdoor eating was the requirement were taking the hygiene protocols very seriously. They were just so pleased to be able to welcome customers again!
But previously only tables for 6 were allowed, so I was slightly surprised that this time it can be 8 to a table..

One business within walking distance has decided not to open - it meets the requirements regarding ventilation but the outside area is so small that even if all the space was legally taken by seated customers it's not worth it financially to open as it is not in a highly populated area.

Did not see any rules down in Paphos today restaurants with outside space near the outside swimming pool packed 125% tables not 25% of tables. One even moved onto the walk way with tables okay they are outside but the two police men payed no attention.

The one which my friend and I went to in Paphos today which has plenty of outdoor space was just nicely populated with plenty of room between tables. We enjoyed our meal and the owners were so pleased to see their customers return.. we had a lovely meal with plenty to eat.
I was also pleased to eat a meal which I hadn't had to prepare!
