Very interesting to Archaeologists. When Paphos was being 'dug up while excavations for a new sewerage system was required,' a number of antiquities were found in parts of the city. Some of the chamber tombs were found complete with grave goods, also mosaics. Cyprus has a very long history of settlement, the earliest traces of settlement extending back as far as 6 thousand years BC.
