Fossil Hunting in Cyprus - Kouris Dam, Limassol

Walking along the walls at Kouris Dam, high above Limassol and the salt lake at Akrotiri where once flowed Kouris river, we came across interesting items embedded in the reinforcements of the dam walls and ballast.

Sea shells, barnacles and corals. Fossilised but probably very recently (Quaternary - like a millisecond ago in Earth's history).
