MOTs

Post by jonjo »

Hi All

My car needs an MOT at the beginning of next month and it looks as though we won’t be able to fly out from the UK until al least the end of July at the earliest. Are there any extension arrangements in place? I can’t see anything on line.

Many thanks

There was an extension but that has run out now... However unless you have a car at the airport you should be OK. Just phone the MOT centre and make a BOOKING to take the car in as you are allowed to drive to the MOT if you have an appointment

I think that's an 'unwritten rule' in Cyprus.

I think that this will be a common problem for everyone who because of the pandemic have been unable to get to Cyprus from abroad. The authorities must be aware of it.
When you return just drive carefully to your nearest MOT centre. There are a number of them.

I received a text telling me they had extended my MOT test by 4 weeks.
