Bird

Post by LouiseCastricum »

Bad quality picture, but does someone know what kind of bird is sitting on top of the tree. It was quite big. From the distance it looked a bit like a heron. There were two of them.

Herons have much longer legs and long neck and also slight webbing of the feet and i don't think i have ever seen one in in a tree - But looking at the neck and shape of that bird with the short stubby tail i would say Griffon Vulture

Thanks, yes I do know how herons looks, there are a lot of them in Holland, that is why I said that this bird looked a bit like..., it might indeed be a Griffon Vulture.
