My Pink Moon experience

Post by cyprusmax47 »

Well, I tried not to post again photos from a full moon as I did many times in the past, but this time the colour of the "Pink Supermoon" was so incredible that I decided to present it ....

Unfortunately the last nights clouds over Troodos prevented a pic from the moon rising behind the mountains, but seconds later.....
Image

after three minutes or so later, no clouds, and the amazing colour is slowly fading, but still unusual

this is the maximum (1200 mm) I can do with my camera

However for me, the next morning impression of the moonset was even more exiting as the clouds were red and the moon pale..

I looked out at about 10:30 and the pink had faded by then. Didn't realise how pink it got.

I did the photos 8.15 PM and 6.15 AM. The pink faded just 15 minutes after moonrise for a sudden...

Finally last night we had no clouds, but the moon is not soo big anymore, however the colour is still unusual red. I tried to get also the mountains in my photo, but then you loosing the colour and contour of the moon completely.....but some people can do it (photoshopping?)

but how the colour changes within 5 minutes one can see in the following shots...
