Carswell Quits UKIP

Douglas Carswell, UKIP's only MP, has quit the party to become an independent for Clacton.
He has stated he is doing so ' amicably '

I couldn't really stand the guy anyway - far too wishy washy for my liking and eager to ensure he looks after No1 at all times. Defected from the Conservatives in 2014, now defected from UKIP and although he says he will be an Independant, I'm sure he'll be back to the Conservatives at the next election. If he had an ounce of dignity he would stand down and call a by election now. Fat chance!

PS. I gather that he prevented Nigel Farage from getting a Knighthood! Shows his allegiances!

So why should Farage be considered for a knighthood?

I'm not suggesting for one minute that he should. I am merely pointing out that a member of his own party vetoed it, which shows his true character.

With Carswell gone, I don't think we will see a UKIP MP again in the future. The party is sliding into obscurity.

Best news I've heard this week especially after Farages disgusting vitriol after Londons dreadful terror attack, you would want to distance yourself from such people.....him and Katie Hopkins should marry they deserve one another, the hate pouring their way this last few days is quite nasty I almost ( but don't ) feel sorry for them.....
