Good move by the police to target no seat belt driving, also for children It will be good thing all round toI get the parents to install child car seats. No more kids standing up on the back seat or between the front seats!

Out and about this morning and good to see some of the police also focusing on speeding drivers.

Rather than concentrating on one aspect at a time, surely the traffic police could multitask?

As for the public announcements in the media ..... just get on and do it!

Yes, agreed and they should be vigilant at all times, every time they are out on the roads around Paphos. Not just in weekly or occasional bursts.

Two month driving ban, €1000 for speeding

20 year old youth was on Monday banned from driving for two months and fined €1000 for speeding.

The youth also had five points added to his licence by Paphos district court.

He was caught on Saturday doing 112 km per hour in a residential area where the speed limit is 50 km per hour.

What about stopping all the clapped out pick ups and 4x4s with a diesel plume trailing behind them which is so thick they cannot see through their rear view mirror or checking their tyres which are near to threadbare that would yield more income for the Police and the Goverment
