In 1970 the people of Karmi in Cyprus participate in an unprecedented experience: the shooting of the film “Beloved”, with Hollywood cast and crew. This documentary functions as a kaleidoscope, transmitting images of that magical time and of the traumatic changes in their lives after the Turkish invasion. Four decades later, they revisit nostalgically those old beloved days.

A truly exceptional must-see documentary about the shooting of the first Hollywood film in Cyprus, “Beloved” featuring sex symbol Raquel Welsh in the 1970s in the now occupied village of Karmi.

The film is by director Constantinos Patsalides, written and produced by George Avraam.

The documentary offers a part of history of the island that needed to be told. Support local talent and head to Pantheon for this heartfelt, well-made and powerful documentary about experience, memory and the greatness of cinema to create, capture and tell stories.

The documentary first premiered at the 10th Lemesos International Documentary Festival in August 2015 and was a huge success.
