Sour smell from air-con....

If your air-conditioning for a sudden smells, (sour, mouldy) at this stage one should act immediately and switch the unit off. It happens to me once a year and it is not that complicated to fix it. All you need is a Air Conditioner Cleaner liquid with antibacterial action and 10 minutes time.

The cleaner (Air clean 1, made in Germany) I bought here https://www.paphoslife.com/directory/entry/sozos and the costs were ca 7-8 Euro per spray bottle 500 ml.

You open the lid of your indoor unit and remove the 2 or 3 filter elements and spray them uniformly. Allow to work for 5 minutes and wash off with water ( in my shower) You also spray on the evaporation coil which sits behind the filters. Now you can assemble the filters again and ready you are.
Switch on the air-con on cooling mode (any residue will be drained away by the draining pipe)

So this 10 minutes time you should spent in order for a healthier environment in your air-conditioned rooms...
