Gesy Beneficiary

Post by Sadie »

Hi all
Having been finally successful at registering with Gesy and having found a GP, now the next hurdle...does anyone know who can be a beneficiary on my Gesy Registration?
Does it have to be dependents or can it be a spouse?
Many thanks
😊

From the GESY website:

Beneficiaries' Dependants

This category includes persons who are:
Citizens of the Republic of Cyprus or EU citizens or Non-EU Citizens and
Ordinary residents of the areas controlled by the Republic of Cyprus and
Family members of a beneficiary, and
In case of family members of a beneficiary from a Non-EU country who is a holder of a permanent residence permit, the members must also have a permanent residence permit in the areas controlled by the Republic of Cyprus in accordance with the Aliens and Immigration Law

I don't think you HAVE to have a beneficiary.. Both my wife and I have separate registrations ..

I believe this answers your specific question: if an adult satisfies the criteria to be eligible for GESY then the wife/husband and children (possibly up to a certain age eg 18) are also eligible to GESY healthcare.

I know that the spouse is eligible, perhaps someone with a family can give a more detailed reply.

My husband is registered with Immigration and GESY and as his wife I am also registered as a Dependent (Immigration) and a Beneficiary (GESY). I have my own Yellow Slip and my own GESY registration number. However, if he dies then I am no longer eligible in either situation.
