Seems I´m the only person on the island with a permanent residence permit which is not a yellow slip!!:-)
According to the British High Commission, there are essentially three residency statuses that British expats are entitled to: MEU1 (registration for residents that want to live in Cyprus for more than three months), MEU3 (residents who have lived in Cyprus for more than five years) and citizenship (residents who lived in Cyprus for more than seven years).

Maybe it's an Alien Registration Card (ARC). My friend arrived here 30 years ago and that's the only document she possesses. So far, her PD has not questioned it's validity, but she made a visit and didn't attempt to do it on-line.

David Brown. Did you get a Signed document with the full details of you and the Dr. on the document? This document has a CODE on it for you to enter and so proof of registered Dr. The reason for me asking as I believe that Officially you can only register with ONE Dr.
All things are possible

Have you completed the "Beneficiary Enrolment Request" form on-line and sent the documentation requested in that process to Nicosia. This, and the subsequent approval from Nicosia, is a prerequisite to being able to register with a doctor, although I think you can ask your doctor to 'save' you a place on their list.

We have taken all the documentation to our preferred doctor and they are doing the registration process.
But they have let me know that the system will not allow me in....... at the moment.

I registered with my GP last week. All I needed was my MEU3, nothing else at all. No passport, no medicsl card, no nothing, just my MEU3. Took 5 minutes at the most.

This is the easiest category to register with GESY as all the information is on the one Yellow Slip MEU3.

With the other categories you have to submit either proof of Social Insurance payments or E121/S1 form. Some people with S1 status have successfully registered by submitting/showing their Cyprus Medical Card.

Evangelismos Hospital has two sessions arranged next week for people to ask questions and you can then go ahead and register with one of their doctors if you wish. Friday 17 May and Saturday 18 May from 9am - noon in the Evangelismos Hospital cafeteria area and Extension Building. Tel: 26848000 to book your place as accommodation is limited.

This is one part that I cannot understand.. Lots of people, including myself and my wife do not (at the moment) have a copy of our S1 or e121
But we DO have a valid medical card which would only have been given to us when we presented the S1 or e121 to the Cyprus authorities ..

They themselves should have a record of what we presented to get the medical card..

Trev,
You are making a big assumption that all parts of the Health service are joined up, when it is obvious they are not.

I have raised this before Trevor....the s1/e121 is the document given to cy moh in order to get a medical card[which states on it that it has been so attained],so by definition that is proof that the nhs will be paying.
I have coming from the uk 2 s1 s for me and my wife,as a belt and braces option,my current residence permit being changed to an meu3

Curious that they use the words "preventative" dental care, rather than ongoing.
