Missing child alert

It has been reported to police that Marios Constantinou, age 17, has been missing from his residence in Paphos since Thursday morning, May 2, 2019.An alert was issued on behalf of the European Hotline for Missing Children 116000 operated by "Hope For Children" CRC Policy Centre and the Association of the Prevention and Handling of Violence in the Family....

Surely when your 17 year old goes out for the day, you don't get alarmed until a day or two has passed? Is this story correct?

I was puzzled by that too, especially when the parents of that girl that went missing recently (now found) were told by the police that they would have to wait 24 hours before announcing her as missing.

Perhaps the boy is special needs or something?

They may also be extra vigilant now after all the goings on with that mad bastard killing all the migrant ladies.
