Maybe the flour mills were run by donkey power once the water had subsided for the summer.

Freddy's looking for a mate in the wrong place. Stick your head out after dark and listen towards the tulip fields. There's at least one froggy croaking away in that direction - or maybe living in "Lake" Alikati

Thanks for the blog Dominic. I did a similar trip a couple of weeks ago, saw and took a photo of Freddie the frog (there were others but they wouldn't pose for photos), the little "waterfall" down the stream, and, also, a whole field full of naked men on the way down (lucky me).

But I had no idea there was a venetian bridge there, which is a shame as it would have been good to add another one to list. It's about time I added a new one.
